Welcome to our Youth Employment Hub
Our Youth Employment Hub provides a socially interactive space where ideas are nurtured and members can explore their career aspirations and pathways in a safe and inclusive environment.
By engaging with our team to determine a pathway, members can experience a springboard to success via workshops, events, and advice & guidance.
Members can visit the Hub anytime and access free refreshments, workstations, free wi-fi, and printing facilities to support when undertaking a job search, research or simply just to interact with others of a similar age and background!
Launchpad
Tailored for 16–24 year olds who are actively seeking employment.
When: Every Tue, Wed & Thu (Times Vary)
Launchpad is our 11-step, passport-style programme that you can complete in any order that has been designed to give you the skills, confidence, and connections to take your next big step. From goal-setting and smart job searches, to interview success, money management, and enterprise exploration – each session is practical, hands-on, and tailored to you. You’ll boost your CV, meet real employers, access funding support, and build the confidence to grab new opportunities.
- Goal Setting – This session is all about you and your future. You’ll explore what matters to you, set goals that feel right, and break them into steps you can actually stick to. It’s a chance to build confidence and start moving towards the life you want.
- CV Builder – Need a CV that actually gets noticed? Drop in and get one-to-one support to write, refresh, or totally rebuild your CV – so you’re ready to go when opportunity knocks.
- Search Smart – Job hunting doesn’t have to be stressful. In this session, you’ll learn smarter ways to search, use job sites properly, and try out AI tools to find roles that match you. It’s about saving time and finding the right fit faster.
- Interview Mastery – This session gets you ready to smash your next interview. You’ll learn what employers are really looking for, how to talk about your strengths, and how to stay calm under pressure. With tips, tricks and practice, you’ll walk in ready to impress.
- Mock Interviews – This is your chance to put your skills to the test. You’ll take part in a real-life style interview with feedback to help you grow. It’s a safe space to practise, make mistakes and build the confidence to nail the real thing.
- KA-CHING! – Money doesn’t have to be confusing. In this session, you’ll learn how to manage your cash, make it stretch further and avoid common traps. From budgeting basics to top saving tips, it’s all about taking control of your money, not letting it control you.
- Confidence Building – This session helps you build the self-belief to take on new challenges. Through practical activities and positive support, you’ll boost your confidence, find your voice, and get ready to step into any situation with courage.
- Introduction to Enterprise – This session is your first step into the world of enterprise. You’ll explore what running a business is really about and get introduced to our Pathway to Enterprise and Business Bootcamp programmes. It’s a chance to see if being your own boss could be your next move.
- Scholarship Application – This session helps you apply for scholarships of up to £750 to support your journey into work. Whether it’s for training, travel, or gear, these funds are here to remove the barriers holding you back. We’ll guide you through the process so you can get what you need to succeed.
- Build Experience – This session helps you find ways to boost your CV with real experience. Whether it’s volunteering, doing a recognised programme like the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, or other opportunities, you’ll discover how to build skills that employers want.
- Meet the Employer – This is your chance to connect with real employers, hear what they’re all about, and ask questions face-to-face. You’ll find out what they look for, explore live opportunities, and maybe even land a placement or job on the spot.

Career Expos
Beneficial to 16-24 year olds who want to bridge the gap between education and employment.
When: Once Every 2 Months
Spark’s Career Expos are industry-specific events designed to provide young people, with immersive experiences to explore diverse career pathways. Our expos are more than just traditional career fairs – they offer interactive workshops, hands-on activities, career talks, and unique networking opportunities with industry professionals.
With a focus on sectors such as Tech, Hospitality, Health & Social Care, Construction, Warehousing & Logistics, and many more, our Career Expos cater to a broad range of interests and ambitions. Participants gain valuable insights into the world of work and practical skills that can help them prepare for future career success.
Career Catalyst
Aimed at 16-24 year olds who want to explore local training and employment opportunities.
When: Once Every 6 Months
The Career Catalyst event is a one-day dynamic careers fair that brings together local training organisations and employers to help young people discover a wide range of training and employment opportunities. Our mission is to raise awareness, boost aspirations, and connect local youth with the skills and careers they need to succeed.

Sparking Pathways
For 18–21 year olds with SEND who face barriers to work. Focused on confidence, skills and understanding the world of work that is designed to move at your pace.
When: 8 Week Programme (1 Day Per Week)
Across 8 engaging sessions, you’ll build essential skills including CV building, application writing, interview preparation, confidence and communication, as well as financial management, workplace rights and behaviours, team building, and wellbeing.
What’s included? Free lunch, travel passes, and a team away day, all at no cost to you. Complete all 8 sessions and you’ll also receive a £50 gift voucher as a reward for your commitment.
